Introduction to your new digital camera
An ideal course for new camera owners, designed to get you up and running as soon as possible with your own equipment. This is true one-to-one tuition during which you'll be taught the basic camera settings as well as how to download pictures to your own PC for storage/editing. Taking control of your camera
Designed for novice photographers who are using their camera's 'automatic' settings and are ready to progress to full manual control. This course will be "hands on" with your own equipment and will cover shutter settings, apertures, ISO, white balance, file types and lens choice.
You'll finish this course with a much greater understanding of exposure and the skills to override your camera's automatic settings to improve your images.

Digital editing for beginners
Although the photographic 'darkroom' is a thing of the past, technology now allows an almost limitless amount of manipulation to take place after you've taken a photograph. This course will introduce the basic concepts of digital editing using the industry standard software package Photoshop. At the end of your training you will be able to adjust exposure and contrast, crop and re-size, compress and save, and even do some basic cloning operations using your images.

This course is designed to alleviate those fears and will provide you with a good understanding of the types of studio lighting available, together with practical demonstrations of their application. York Photo Training is operated by Bailey Cooper Photography, an award winning professional studio based in Huntington, York:
Our two main tutors are working photographers, Paul and Kate Cooper.
Both are accomplished photographers in their own right and hold Fellowships from the British Institute of Professional Photography (BIPP), and the Master Photographer's Association (MPA).
Kate and Paul have also been awarded Qualified European Photographer (QEP) status for the quality of their work.
As a couple, and individually, they have lectured, and judged, at professional level in the UK and internationally.
Oh, and they actually enjoy what they do!
